GameGuru EBE Goes To Beta

It's been a longer road than I had planned or hoped, but I am now ready to release the EBE in a small way to our internal beta testing group who kindly offer a few hours of their time every now and again to hammer GameGuru builds to ensure they are ready for the public.  They are under a gentle NDA for the most part, but I am happy for them to share what they think of the EBE system in the forums over the next two weeks (when I will be on holiday flush the microchips out of my head and finding new ways to recharge my old brain battery).

As oft-reported, the first version will be a no-frills workhorse of functionality, and from the private and then public feedback, we can augment the areas you want to see improving and sideline those features no one actually uses.  Whatever you decide to create, rest assured the collision and rendering features of your structure are pre-optimized for in-game use :)

In other news, I have some honourable mentions to make, including one of the latest games to make it through the Steam greenlight process and get published. A game called Father's Island which is a first person narrated adventure using the GameGuru engine. To check it out, you can go direct to the Steam page where it now lives: http://store.steampowered.com/app/460940

I also wanted to share some GameGuru general news that popped into my inbox over the last few weeks, starting with a very cool simulation of a certain sci-fi series that I have watched through a few times now.  Here is the link to a video that had me smiling the entire way through:

Staying on the subject of GameGuru videos, if you ever wanted to recreate Borderlands 2 in quick order, you cannot proceed better than starting with watching this video, from Sparckman who has produced some great GameGuru videos so far and is starting to challenge my own collection of Twitch Broadcasts.  Here is the latest run-through from the guy himself:
