Welcome to another week here in the GameGuru caves. We’ve seen a huge number of users join the GameGuru club in the last week thanks to Humble Bundle. This of course has in turn led to lots of new questions and the diligent support team at GameGuru HQ have been pleased and keen to help.
Part of this has been an expansion in our help system, so you can now chat live with a member of the team almost 24/7. Of course, if we are out, you can simply leave a message and someone will contact you as soon as possible. All you need to do to get advice is click on the Green Chat button on the main GameGuru website at the bottom right of the web page.
As you know, we’re always keeping an eye out for great screenshots and this one from GameGuru user GDNomad really impressed us with it’s clever use of the sliders to create a great atmosphere.

Store news
It was only last week we reported hitting the 5,000 milestone for store items available on the GameGuru store and now we can report we’ve already exceeded 5,100 with that number growing daily.
Popular and talented artist Dagored has continued to impress with his critters range by adding these excellent Elks. Ideal for almost all genres and available for a bargain price it’s a model no serious developer can do without.
Also new this week is the great tree pack from regular artist BSP. Featuring a total of 41 trees of many different types, including a selection with a covering of snow, why not head on over to the store and grab yourself some more vegetation.

Join us on TWITCH!
As many of you are aware we’ve recently started a regular series of TWITCH broadcasts aimed at guiding users new and old through some of the finer points of GameGuru. We plan on broadcasting this week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so why not join in the fun and maybe learn something new about GameGuru?
You can view all of the tutorials from the Steam guides as well as finding lots of other great gems of information. For those of you who don’t know about these TWITCH broadcast you can see what it’s all about in the video below.
Our esteemed coder Dave “Ravey” Milton takes the reigns from Lee Bamber and will be covering the Character Creator, Multiplayer Games and then the Multiplayer script in detail. Lee is taking a busman’s holiday this week by attending Develop Brighton. GameGuru has been shortlisted in the Develop Awards so we send our best wishes to Lee for Wednesday night!

Hot on the heels of V1.003 we’ve released two fast and furious updates to GameGuru in the last week fixing a minor issue and improving the help system.
V1.01.0032 :
* Added link to our Twitch channel in the help menu
* Fixed an issue in the editor where Character Creator heads could disappear after test game
V1.01.0031 :
* Removed ‘loading range’ report from debug log as redundant
For the weeks ahead our focus is all on improving GameGuru’s performance, so we ask for your patience as this will take a little while, meaning a small lull in updates, but we’re extremely confident that you will love the results.
